In an effort to stop spyware, computer users have tried many different ways to prevent spyware in addition to adding anti spyware. Though some systems operators have a web browser other than the IE, such as Opera and Mozilla Firefox. These programs have had some small breaches but are relatively safe, they tend not be targeted so much, because the people who would be most likely to fall into the spyware trap would not know to use something more secure like Mozilla or Opera.

There is browser that is completely safe but some operating systems are safer than others. Internet Explorer is at a great risk for spyware because they have such a large user base that the more people you have using something the easier it is to get them to fall into a trap. Some users install a large host file that prevents the user’s computer from actually connecting to a known spyware related web address.

Spyware is loaded into computers through a shareware programs that have been offered for downloads. You can download anti spyware programs as well and they will provide you with some protection from the attack. CNet revised its downloaded directory and can keep files that have passed its own protection inspection by companies called Ad Aware and Spyware Doctor. These days’ people keep a lot of information in their computers, so you have to be very careful that you try to allow any spyware into your system.
