You may not think these two words would be used together but through advertising a lot of spyware is released into an unsuspecting computer. Most spyware software actually display only advertising. Some software will show the all too common pop up and sometimes spyware can actually let it self into your computer when you open a new browser window. The spyware operators display a feature that shows the users display ads in which shows specific sites that the user has visited.
For example, if you have visited the ABC website a couple of times, what the spyware will do is show you a pop up or display ad with that website showing an offer of a some kind, but you may not think anything of because you already have been to that website but in reality it is the spyware working. To solve that problem, do not click on display ads or pop ups of any kind.
Some times the display ads will be very irritating to people, banner ads usually are the culprit. The flashy, glittery banner ads that you see floating around; these are different versions of spyware. Pop ups for pornography may pop up from time to time as well, those should be a red flag that these ads you should stay away from. There are so many ways of spyware to get into your computer and the makers of spyware are clever enough to put it into ads because they know there are many people that can’t refuse a click.
